History of Targeted Attacks

Since the beginning of the extensive conflict in Ukraine, a string of Russian military commanders have been attacked within Moscow.

This most recent event echoes other notable incidents, such as:

  • General Yaroslav Moskalik was died in a vehicle explosion in Moscow earlier this year.
  • General Igor Kirillov perished in late 2024 when a explosive concealed on a scooter was triggered from afar.

While a informant earlier attributed Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such claims are never formally acknowledged as a matter of policy.

The conflict has been marked by shadowy operations extending into the streets of the Russian capital.

The examination into General Sarvarov's death is still active.
