Former Doctor Charged with Assault Charges Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician now faces charges for carrying out assaults against 38 victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of acts of sexual assault – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges come after what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors said the 45 sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
