After a crucial victory at the Lusail Grand Prix, the Red Bull driver has dramatically reduced the margin in the title race. From then on, his performance has been completely dominant, achieving five wins and multiple podiums. He was eager to highlight the collective effort behind this resurgence.

"We have achieved victories where maybe it seemed unlikely, by making the optimal strategy as a unit," Verstappen added. "The way I work with my engineer, GP and the every member... we are perfectly synchronized."

Ahead of the arrive in Abu Dhabi, the points situation is utterly compelling.

• Lando Norris is in position to win his first-ever world title if he beats both his two rivals or achieves a podium finish.
• Max Verstappen must win and needs that his rival places fourth or lower.
