The Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign

The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm within the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions before the title's release, to trainers developing firm opinions on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom appears as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Stay on the good side of both and benefit from a strong ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the creature and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Many past Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty tree sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it all, which is true Taurus energy.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, offering an constant stream of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Much like an captivating, gregarious Gemini, it's very simple to envision Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also states its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which sounds quite like a people-smart Twins.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a intense symbol famous for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you think I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The sign famous for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected across this Pokémon’s entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to maintain the peace, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to stress more about others.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure resentment and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly small jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who tends to always think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure

Detached air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are countless memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Ghost/Fire typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
